Ingredients

1 lb ground Italian sausage

½ onion, diced

1 tbsp garlic, minced

3 tbsp butter

1 ½ tbsp Italian seasoning

1 ½ tbsp oregano

½ tsp red pepper flakes

salt and pepper, to taste

⅓ c flour

6 c chicken broth

1 ½ c heavy cream

2 c kale, chopped

⅓ c bacon, finely chopped

¼ c parmesan

1 lb mini gnocchi

Directions

Step 1

Brown Italian sausage in a large sauce pot.

1 lb ground Italian sausage

Step 2

Once cooked, add in onion and sauté until translucent.

Step 3

Add in garlic, butter, and spices. Cook until butter melts.

1 tbsp garlic, minced

3 tbsp butter

1 ½ tbsp Italian seasoning

1 ½ tbsp oregano

½ tsp red pepper flakes

salt and pepper, to taste

Step 4

Sprinkle in flour and mix until combined.

⅓ c flour

Step 5

Stir in chicken broth. Cover and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Let simmer for 10-15 minutes.

6 c chicken broth

Step 6

Add in heavy cream and bring back to a simmer.

1 ½ c heavy cream

Step 7

Add in kale, parmesan, bacon, and gnocchi.

2 c kale, chopped

⅓ c bacon, finely chopped

¼ c parmesan

1 lb mini gnocchi

Step 8

Cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Step 9

Garnish with bacon bits and enjoy!
